Wife and I left the Spokane Valley in 2018.
It wasn't completely polluted by the west side, but you could see the writing on the wall...

I’m sure it’s terrible. I was born in Corvallis and lived in Lebanon.

I went downtown 3 times in 15 months. Stopped watching local news bc it was the same every night. Would drive through but spent no money in that city. The city and its council are destroying the city by allowing the damage, dismantling the police force and changing basic structures that citizens need in order to feel safe when living in a city. In the country you can defend your property from 2 and 4 legged BG but not there. Wasn't afraid but just sick of it all.
