I am curious has anyone else noticied that some of the current regs give the impression that you may not have to take the chl renewal class or some portion of it, if it causes you to have attended class more than once in a ten year period.

It seems to give the impression in section GC 411.185 Renewal

Does anyone understand how you indicate things in the renewal paperwork to renew without taking the class or I am just reading this the wrong way?

On your third and subsequent renewal you only need a class every other renewal. You still have to renew every 5 years. You will need prints, pictures, affidavits notarized and a renewal packet.

After you have renewed twice, you don't need the class for the 3rd.

Just call DPS and ask if you are exempt from the class.
