Hey all,
I recently got into a discussion regarding duty of police, and my stance was that LEO's in texas have no legal duty to protect persons or even prevent crime, but serve to begin the penalization process against offenders and execute warrants.
Is this actually true or am I talking out of my ass?
Any references to actual penal codes and case law will be greatly appreciated.
