    The rigging add was popular with farmers and some bridge crews n CA and AZ as they swung better than a hammer according to some. I did not see the benefit, but it was useful for splitting wedges and things.

    An old friend of mine used to claim he had is great great grandfather's axe. Said the handle had been replaced multiple times, but the head only once or twice.

    Here’s the hatchet head I mentioned earlier. I used a wire wheel on it and turns out it’s a “True Temper No. R25”

    I like color of that one. Looks like you were able to remove the red oxide while leaving some of the black.

    Finished that hatchet
    Found an old hickory handle for it. Sanded and stained it with a walnut stain.
    I want to put a lanyard hole in the base. I’m debating whether to drill a hole through it or drive a fencing staple into the base
