Revolver chambered in .327 Federal?

I know the Ruger SP101 can be chambered in it, and it's 6 rounds.

I shot one at the range. I read all about in American Rifleman.

My opinion is that it is a solution for a problem that never existed.

Interesting round-- probably will not catch on well-- but the nice thing is I think you can shoot .32 SW, .32SW Long, .32H&R Mag as well as the .327-- Charter looks pricewise good, but Ruger looks to be better built...

I would like to shoot one also, but the range has none to rent...

My opinion is that it is a solution for a problem that never existed.

It's a solution if you have some bizzare yearning for .32 caliber ... otherwise its main accomplishment seems to be the almost-trivial feat of fitting one more round in the same footprint as a 5-round .38/.357 cylinder.

Ballistics look OK, but for the most part it seems to be something new for the sake of getting people to buy yet another caliber.

The ballistics for .327 are superior to .38 spcl +P aren't they? And recoil should be better than a .357 for women and elderly people.

If it has less muzzle flip than a 38 +P, it might be more useful in a small framed revolver for follow-up shots. Even standard 38 can be a bear in really lightweight revolvers.

I agree with the previous posts about it being a solution to a nonexistent problem, but if the .327 ballistics really are superior to .38 Spl, there may be something to it.

Even so, if you can still readily buy ammo for it in 5 or 6 years, then I will give it a serious looking over. Probably not before then. (Tried to find any an 10mm ammo lately?)

Actually, 10mm is just about the only ammo I can find . . . all the more common stuff is sold out. (I'm just venting a little : ) )

No joke. Things are entirely out of control.

It took me over two weeks to find some non +P .38 Spl hollowpoints around here, and when I finally did find them it was only by accident.

Today, I went out for .223 and you better be already at the store when the truck arrives, or you will miss out.

And the prices....

Reloading, here I come.
