I know I have had a few bad experiences with Ruger in the past but I have to say that with handloads and with the barrel broken in, the Ruger Americans are awesome. The larger holes were me sighting in my muzzle loader with blackhorn so disregard those.

My new to me CZ 527 American 7.62x39. Couldn't find the Leupold I wanted in stock, so this spare (cheap) Vortex I had will have to do for now.

Ruger Ranch 7.62x39 picked it up in October.

Shoots pretty good. The ones off right were the first few working toward ctr.

This Ruger 77 .357 I picked up in January.

Shoots pretty decent as well.

Made a few mods to my old Colt. Troy battle rail (non floating), Eotech OPMOD EXPS2-2, Vortex VMX-3T and Streamlight Pro-Tac HLX 1000 lumen light with pressure switch.

I airbrushed a light coat of graphite black Cerakote over the hood of the Eotech to mute the white lettering of the logo.

Still need to add a flip cap to the light to hide the reflection when not in use.
