Rudys BBQ?

Besides some small mom-n-pops or food trucks/trailers where does Rudys fall on your list? I give it a good high five on all but the ribs.

Sorry, I give it middle of the road at best. My wife loves the bbq sauce!
I see them pull the meat out some sort of steam table to make my meal. It is depressing. It would probably be better if I didn't see them at all.
Who has time to wait in the long line for a mediocre meal.

Last weekend I ate a little over a pound of "moist" brisket from Rudys and a bunch of creamed corn. Tasted pretty good to me!

I'd say it's the best "chain" bbq place. They do have really good bbq sauce.

I've only had brisket and jalapeno sausage at Rudy's. Not a thing wrong with it, in my opinion.

If salad is done right there is no need for dressing.
If chips are done right there is no need for dip.

Same issue here. We live smack dab in the middle of so many big name bbq places that it's hard to go to the lesser than's....

Its good Q. I stop there pretty much every time I go to the Cabelas in Allen. Get the "Rudy's Chop" sandwich next time you go. They take all the trimmings from all the meats and make a chopped out of it. Tis fantastic.

Is it the best? Nope. BUt its far from the worst and the prices are fair.

pretty close. In Lockhart we like Black's and Smitty's the best. IMO, Terry Black's in Austin is the best of the Black's locations.
