    7.62x39 was my go-to round for many many years. It still is if the STHF. While I love my .308 rifles, ammo is dirt cheap for Mini-30s and AKs. Might take a look at the American if I ever need another bolt action.

    I have the CZ in 7.62x39. It's the carbine version - short and compact. I like it. Ammo is cheap and plentiful. It will hit whatever I need to at 100 yards (50 yards is an average shot here in the woods). Mine has an aperture sight on it, but I've been contemplating a scope.
    Ruger's version costs a lot less. I predict it will sell well.
    So do I. And the set trigger is wonderful! Mine is scoped with a Leupold 2x8 and will shoot less than 1/2" groups all day if I do my part.
