I would have loved to have been there when that happened. I bet the guy who shot it had to change his underwear after that happened. I have never seen a gun have both sides of the frame cracked like that. What the hell could have happened to do that? Double charge is what I am thinking, but no way to know.

May have been a metal issue if they're replacing it.

Yeah, I'd love to get a closer look at it myself, maybe send off a sample to have it analyzed, see if the metallurgy got screwed up.

And forget about changing his undies, he's lucky if he came out with nothing more than stitches and a shrapnel collection.

The guy at the shop that did the transfer for me said Ruger is going above and beyond these days due to some prior issues with CS. He wasn't surprised they replaced it.

Yeah, there's no repairing that. The top strap is almost blown off the gun. They must be sending him a whole new gun.
