I have an older Ruger M77, 220 swift, that I bought a new scope for. It currently has 30mm Leupold steel rings but the new scope is 34mm tube and 56mm objective. My question is what is the best set up for mounting this new scope?? I found a picatinny rail set up from Weigand called a WEIG-A-TINNY. Then I could use standard picatinny style rings, not sure of what height rings I would need for 56mm objective. I think Leupold also makes some 24mm rings that would attach to the top of the receiver by I'm not sure what height rings I would need. With this set up I think you have to use 2 different height rings. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You can always take your rifle and scope to the gun store (hopefully one with a good supply) and check out their options.

You'll also want to check out cheek risers as that scope is going to be tall.
