Does anyone know when shops are supposed to start getting in some Ruger SR-22's? It is pretty much an Ar-15 meets a Ruger 10/22. It is exactly what i was going to build but cheaper than buying the parts with a retail of $695 but heard stores will probably send them on their way for $599-$625.

Man i didnt see one they must have sold earlier we got there at 2:30. I bought a 10/22 with Tapco stock already installed for $279 which wasnt bad. A bunch of guys said to wait for the smith and wesson version of the SR22 which will be out anytime and should retail around $400

Some updates on my search for a AR style 22. We went over to cabelas in FW and they happened to have the Colt and the M&P and both felt really nice although one was lighter than the other. The prices werent too bad at $469 and $519 but I know I can get em cheaper. My buddy was there looking for a Xd or something similar for his gf to CCW when she gets stationed in San Antonio. Thanks to guys who have emailed me with opinions.

My opinion is to go with the Colt or M&P. They'll be more like the AR as far as controls like mag release & safety. And they have 30 round mags. I think the Ruger has only the standard 10 rnd mags like the normal 10/22.

:( From the ads posted on Gun Broker about the Colt AR 22 look alike......I would have serious reservations about buying one. Heard both good and bad on the M & P but most all bad on the Colt.

Really? That stinks. Are they having funtion problems?

In that case maybe the 10/22 AR look alike is a better idea. Hmmm

It could just be a strange sales approach where they want you to think you're gitting a great deal but the post were comparing the Colt to boat paddles, pooper scoopers to name a few. Nothing good was said!

    Ruger SR 22L, New accessories

I am new to the forum. Enjoyed reading the info on the Ruger Sr 22. I have one and it is the best 22 I have ever owned.

There will be shortly, a new Missouri company coming on line that builds accessories just for the SR 22. They have a compleatly new rail system (Patent Pend) made just for the SR 22. They have brush guards for the front of the forearm and breacher. Yes I said a BREACHER. They are also building a top rail for the SR 22 just for the owners that like to use Iron sites. If aryone is interested send me a E-Mail and I will let you know when it is up and ready to go. They say it should be in the next two weeks.

Look forward to seeing more on the SR 22
