    Friends,

My "rather petite lady" is pending her LTC from the DPS & wants a .38SPL revolver to CC.
(ALL of my handguns are simply too BIG for her to shoot well.)

IF you have a used J-frame S&W revolver in .38SPL, I would be a buyer.

Please respond with photos & price to: texasnative46@gmail.com

    seeker_two,

Personally, I believe that new shooters should carry a revolver.
("D" had never even touched a firearm until we met. - Quickly thereafter, she "adopted" my Remington Model 7615 pump, opining that, "It's just GRRL-size & doesn't kick much.")

About a month later, she then decided that she wants to carry a handgun, due to her profession often requiring her to "meet clients" in office buildings late, late, at night.
(She called me from a Dallas office building >2300 Saturday & said that she & Ashley were "still waiting on the client" to show up.- "D" got home at about 0100.)

    yours, satx

    seeker_two,

I suspect that IF she had the job that my lady does that she wouldn't go to dark office buildings after dark UNARMED.

As many times as she's gone to her middle school after sunset (teacher), she still doesn't see the use. I think it's more the small-town "it'll never happen here" mentality....

    seeker_two,

TRUTH is that there are NO "safe places" in the USA anymore.

    seeker_two,

I will NEVER trust any place in the USA to be SAFE or even relatively PEACEFUL after my late wife in APR1984 was ROBBED of her purse at knifepoint inside a parish church in a LA town of <4,000 residents & while she was "setting up" for a GF's baby shower. - I was stationed at Ft Polk, LA in those long-ago days.
(Fwiw, the female parish sheriff's deputy, who arrived about 20 minutes after "VK" called 911, asked her, "Honey, why weren't you carrying a pistol?" The deputy paused & then said, "A pretty lady like you should never be unarmed. Lots of bad men out there, who are looking to prey upon women & girls.")

I will second the post on the Ruger LCR. The best shooting “J-Frame” type revolver I have ever shot, including S&W, and I like S&W. I think the Ruger is a much better gun than, say, a Smith 642 and the like.
