Safety on the Stoeger Condor Youth Shotgun

I bought my daughter her new shotgun from Gander in San Antonio and took it to the range on Saturday. It worked great and I noticed every time you opened the over/under and closed it the safety resets itself. No problem but on Sunday we went to practice again and it started to reset itself after every shot. The 4H coaches looked at the shotgun and said it most likely a factory defect. Has anyone had this issue with their over/under before?

Do a search on the net. I remember a friend had the same issue. I found info on a stooge forum but that was several years ago. If I remember correctly simple fix/issue. Loose screw or something like that.

Same thing as my Stoeger Coach Gun, it's an auto-safety, but easy to fix with a dremel by trimming the little rod that pushes the safety on every time you break it open. Should be easy to Google and find.

I wanted to see about the pin issue and took it back to Gander Mt and the gunsmith told me Stoeger is wanting this shotgun back as they can only do the work. So Gander took my gun and is sending back to Stoeger. I will hear something in four weeks.
