Any wisdom and or experience floating around?
Most accurate out of the box rifle I ever shot was my neighbors 1970s Sako in .222 Rem Mag.I guess being an old dude I would rather find an old Sako RIIHIMAKI L46 222 REM with the vintage Weaver or Redfield scope that was put on it back in the day.
Bofors barrels have a very good reputation. Most people hear of the rifle I mentioned and think great varmint rifle. I think great culling rifle that waste no meat for its a head or neck shooter. Low recoil, low report, just a great gun that still today is worth what the cost. Most accurate out of the box rifle I ever shot was my neighbors 1970s Sako in .222 Rem Mag.
Bid is 800 with a Zeiss scope so about 550 for the gun, Looks like it will top a thousand I'll drop off soon at $850Just did some research on the M595, all the articles & post on forums say it's a great gun. One person even said that if you have one, rebarrel or re-stock it if you need to, But don't get rid of it. They are getting harder to find & the cost is going up on them.
I'd say if it's under $600 you can't go wrong.
