I already said I can't make it, but wondered if y'all had ever met at Mi Casa Tamales, just up I10 from there? They have great food, a very nice staff, more than just tamales (but their tamales are quite good), and lots of outdoor, shady seating (no indoor that I know of). Anyway, just a suggestion if you are still looking...

We have not as a group, but they’re about 2 minutes from my house and we’ve eaten there a few times as well as order Christmas tamales from them. Good food, limited hours. They’ve had a staff shortage lately and just have the bar open Fri/Sat night with food trucks.

I have to back out. My daughter may have covid again. She was exposed at school (one of her professors) and she's having the same symptoms she had when she had covid last year. Loss of her sense of taste and smell. She's being tested tomorrow. Anyway, I don't want to risk exposing you guys.
