    Awesome, thanks for the suggestions!

And,,ummm...we will need pictures. Especially of the Boy enjoying himself.

Have a great time and a safe trip to and from.

    Will do!

We left our place at 5:30p…first mistake.
Took us 5.5 hours to get here.
Tons of construction traffic, and an accident.

When we lived closer to town, wife and I liked to hit the Pearl around 6:30 Saturday morning and walk the dog on the river. Then stop for a good coffee and pastry at the farmers market before headed home around 8:30

Just a few bums to deal with. That was 7 years ago. Not sure what the deal is now…

    Out here by the lake!
When you have experience in Austin, Houston, and Dallas, San Antonio isn't that bad...
Traffic is just that! The only slight improvement to it is knowing where your going and how long it takes.

As an added note to drive time suckage, I spent 22 years driving to a second seasonal job. Drive times varied from 1-2 hours depending on traffic. The year after I quit that, was the year they completed a toll road.

One of my favorite places to eat breakfast is Taco Taco. Named Best Tacos in America a few years ago by Bon Apetite. A little North of downtown. They are only open 6am to 2pm.

    You guys are awesome.

We went to The Witte Museum today, it was incredible.

From the history of Texas, to dinosaurs, to nature, this place had such a great variety, we spent 4 wonderful hours there.

And the variety helped with the Boy, who has a pretty short attention span

We took the easy route and had Fogo de Chau last night. I wish I had the same appetite I had when I was young…at $120/person after tip and whatnot, it’s just not good value for us anymore. But the food was amazing.

Went to Niki’s Tokyo Inn for supper tonight, as recommended on the other thread about restaurants that someone above linked to.

Hole in the wall, most folks would have second thoughts about going into what looks like a total dive…but gawdam this place is a true hidden gem. Without a doubt, the best sushi/sashimi we’ve had in the state, snd ranks right up there with best I’ve had anywhere. We will absolutely be back next time we’re in town.

Here’s some pics of Stetson having a blast…we’re soooo blessed now that he’s over his colic issues.

He’s 5 months old next week, and is a 20-lb meatball

Hangin’ out…he LOVES being upside down

I do that every Saturday with my dog. Farmers Market doesn’t open till 9am though. Local coffee changed their brew. I don’t care for it. Has a bitter metallic aftertaste.
