Why?I can see this rifle possibly being popular with left-handed shooters.
Why?
Me being a lefty.
Hadn't seen the ball bearing locking for a while. Straight pull is definitely faster than a normal bolt, but why not just get a semi-auto?

Easily switched to left hand use correct?
Seems nifty.
A mini action in 6.5 Grendel would be cool beans.
I guess I'm set in my ways.Check out the video at 2:02 and they discuss the bolt being ambidextrous.

At the 40 second mark, he says the locking system is patented. By who? Not Savage, certainly. That type of lock has been in use in the Fortner action for decades.Hadn't seen the ball bearing locking for a while.

If they licensed it from Fortner (or whoever Fortner got it from) this is some seriously, deliberately misleading advertising; they're taking credit for an innovation that does not belong to them. If they didn't license it, I don't know what's going on. Maybe/probably they got a patent they don't deserve.
Either way, while I find the idea interesting I find the shenanigans offputting.
