What a shame it’s seems to be a scam site,

I found a decent site - CrateHoldingsAmmo.com. They do not charge sales tax on out of state sales. And the shipping costs are reasonable.

I have used them several times.

It's an evolving "business". It's only going to get worse too.

I'm always curious how much money these people make. Are they getting rich or making less than getting a legit job?

I always compare it to the taggers that hit box cars and bridges. Some of it is amazing work. Find someone to pay you to use that skill.
