Buy one of these when you get your new truck
    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/...C_kmsWc7bpBs0pRHm0dmPcRCab9ejZABoCRl4QAvD_BwE

You plug it into your OBD2 scanner port and leave it in.
While its pugged in , it keeps your engine in V8 mode and it wont let the computer put the engine in V4 mode
A lot of people are repairing engines with AFM at 150K miles due to the lifters wearing out because of how the system shuts down 4 cylinders

    Thanks fellers.
The blue is close to my Ram CTD that I never should have sold...that was the best vehicle I ever owned.

It was my tow vehicle and my off-road toy. This one will be an off-road toy to take me hunting...that seems to be the most off-roading we’ve got in Texas

Nice-looking truck. I've glad I went for the full crew-cab--even though it means my truck's bed is only 5'7". For me, the greater cabin space is more important.

Ahhh...but the lack of a 6-foot bed would limit my Section 179 Deduction

Ahh, there you go. But I was only aware of the need for GVW to be more than 6,000 lb and less than 14,000 lb. Wasn't aware of the bed-length requirement.

6k GVWR is still accurate, but limited to $25k.

Other vehicles, like ambulances, passenger vans and trucks with a 6-foot bed, can take the full deduction without the $25k cap

Sales manager called me today, to follow-up on the lazy salesgal’s emails.

After an easy 10 minute conversation, I’ve got a new (to me) truck

Gets on a transporter early next week, I should have it by the end of the week.

    Sharp looking truck.

    Is that a 2wd Z71?

I will never understand why Chevy did that instead of coming up with a different package name for that combination.

    Thanks!

    It’s a 4x4.

She’ll look a lot better when I put 33” tires on and level it out. It’ll come up maybe an inch in back, around 2.5 in front.
