I see some of these OTA antenna say "mount in attic or on roof". If I chose to mount one in the attic, will the reception be hindered by the house? It is not steel structured.
Yea... I haven't had any issues, other than weather between here and the stations (which is about 45 miles or so).
Just make sure it's pointed in the right direction and you're good. There are online guides that'll help with that.

Avoid any business with Tango Fire Stick of Mountville, PA. The dude is a straight up fleck of shit the kind that annoys ones anus!
How is it Bricked ? you should be able to restore it to defaults . Make sure you are using the original powercord and charging module. they seem to be picky about that.

Roku allows an OTA antennae to connect to some of their sticks. Otherwise, either OTA to the TV or some services carry local channels in the subscription options.
In regards to the ROKU, I have a "smart tv" (Vizio). Does the "smart tv" with all the apps act similar to the ROKU?
As you can tell, not real tech savvy (ask me about produce and I can help out ) :)

Essentially yes. What Roku brings is a larger selection of channels/networks/services than Vizio has apps available for.

The Vizio ecosystem looks like this: https://www.vizio.com/en/smart-tv-apps where the Roku Ecosystem has this: https://channelstore.roku.com/browse/movies-and-tv and a whole lot more, to include local channels in some markets or through the OTA antennae.

Also, you can take the Roku with you when travlling.

Plus if your puppy chews up the Roku remote, you can download the Roku app, and use your smart phone for a remote.

    True story!
