    The Free Kind.

Thats right i got an older, though apparently unfired .410, that had been on snake duty for years, but the need never arose. so now it is mine, so now i have to figure out what im goingt o do with it.

i was thinking of some grackle control, though im not sure what the range of a .410 is especially when at an arc like you get when shooting at airborne stuff. i dont think thered be a problem popping targets ont he ground, but half the fun is taking them on the fly.

anyway, any sort of suggestions, or guidleines are great, (this is my first shotgun, though a 12 ga is on my buy list i got this one completely by suprise)

oh and ill post pictures later on.

    **edit**

Congratulations. Is it single shot, pump, etc.? Who is the manufacture? I bought an NEF single shot .410 for my older kids, now my 10 year old shoots it. They are a lot of fun. Shells are a little expensive.

well im mainly curious about the range on this thing. i am just nervous because i know a .22 goes over 2 miles at the right angle. i dont want to be showering someones house. if the range is short enough i wont have to stick to ground targets.though the spot is popular for dove hunters so i doubt it owuld be a prblem, jsut trying to find out for sure.
about to do some hardcore googling

It will "rain lead" at about 300 yards in my experience. 50 yards is about the maximum effective range with 7-1/2 shot.
