My family fought for Texas twice, won one, lost the other. Texas could stand again on it's own feet, unlike most other states.

However I don't think if there is a revolution, we would be alone. I see OK, northern parts of LA, Kansas north to Canada, and a few others joining our cause. I would think AZ would like to be a part of it, but NM is in the way and they are of a different mindset. CO has got it's fair share of hippie liberals to F things up for them.

It would be interesting to see how things would play out if another U S Constitutional Congress was proposed.

Not fair, you stole that from Obama.

At this point in the plan I feel safe telling you Obama is one of my lackeys; a stooge who's purpose is to expedite things in my direction. He is merely a useful idiot. But for his loyalty he shall be spared my wrath when the time comes. I'll even allow others to continue to refer to him as, "Mr. President." Right after they watch him bow down and worship me on live television. Mwahahahaha!

Without the rampant socialism and excessive government regulations coming from Washington, Texas would be a mecca for new business.

We could stop giving money away to countries that hate us and stop fighting everybody else's friggin' wars.

We could stop letting the courts do the legislating and force our representatives to do their jobs.

We could close the border (both borders, actually) and yet allow work visas for legal immigrants. The children of non-citizens would not become citizens by right of the location of their birth.

We could institute a tax system that is equitable and end the nonsense of the "47%".

Those that think their birth qualifies them to a free ride, those who want European socialism, those who want special rights and privileges because of their ethnicity or race can freely move to the People's Republic of Obamastan.

I've been a loyal American all my life, but no one from my youth - not even Nikita Khrushchev - could have believed that this country could follow a communist like Obama straight down the toilet. Who would have dreamed of an America where the president apologizes to dictators? Where the president is buddies with radicals like the Muslim Brotherhood and Cesar Chavez, but shuns democracies? Where China gets to dictate our policies because we owe them so much money? Where the government spies on it's own citizens and assassinates people around the world with impunity? Where the government can dictate the size of a Coke you're allowed to buy or the lunch you kid can eat at school? Where the Attorney General's office, which is charged with enforcing the law, allows Black Panthers to use clubs to threaten voters away from polls and sells guns to drug traffickers - and NOT ONE official is demoted, fired, or jailed?

The Titanic is sinking and this lifeboat is still attached to it. If things persist, a decision will have to be made.

We're well on our way to some kind of reckoning. Personally, I think we'll see an economic collapse induced by our current economic policies heaped on top of alot of previous (bad) decisions and policies. As much as I don't care for the current occupant of the White House, he's more a symptom, not the disease. Once everything goes to shit, local and state governments will have to act or watch things completely come apart. The end result will be in a whole lot of local control and disregard/ignoring of the District of Criminals. If you get to the same destination, does the road you took matter that much?

I too took an oath to defend the Constitution, the same Constitution the crowd long in DC wipes its feet on and mocks (a littel Patriot Act, anyone?). The military of today operates on different rules than the one I joined. I don't recognize the governments ability to dictate to an individual what you will believe. Therefore, in the extremely unlikely event that my services were again requested, I'd find it necessary to decline the honor of serving this government and military.

You're exactly right about that. Obama didn't create the useless slugs that supported him for that office. Even if he's booted out in November, there are still plenty of leftists voting in politicians of the same ilk.

Unfortunately all those stupid people out there will probably not wake up until it's full on chaos in the streets and economic collapse. And most of them probably won't wake up even then, so long as they are told it's because of Bush and the republicans who keep stopping obama from doing what he needs to do to fix the country. A huge percentage of people in this country are terminally stupid. It's damn scary what those people will probably do to this country in my lifetime.

I don't think it will ever happen. If it did, I'd support Texas.

In regards to the amount of stupid people presently in our country:

I swore allegiance to the United States Of America and don't take that lightly. The figgin' fools who drove her into the ground are the enemy, not the USA. I don't think I can sign up for secession but as Texas goes, I will go.

    Flash

When did you swear allegiance to the USA? I've heard of pledging allegiance to the flag, and I've heard of taking an oath (of enlistment) to protect and defend the constitution, but not this.
