Well, that’s a shame. Wish a full and speedy recovery to the little six year old McDonald’s patron.

Wish they had said how old the security guard was and what had happened to the perp that was hit. Good reminder, the shooter is responsible for every round that leaves his muzzle!

    Unless you’re in Johnson County.

There it’s okay to shoot a woman in her own backyard.

    A dozen shots?

Good reminder to be aware of the backstop.

Most people empty the magazine or cylinder when they are in an actual shooting. It's the adrenaline. Most people aren't us, most people don't train on the range monthly or weekly. A dozen shots is probably what his mag carried.

However, shooting at unarmed thieves probably not the best idea

They are gonna have to re do those charges, Agg. Assault ain't gonna fly. Stolen cell phone are a huge problem for stores but a mag dump ain't the answer.

With cellphones costing upwards $1,000 it seems to me cell phone stores could take a hint from.... say, jewelry stores. I can’t recall the last time I was in a jewelry store, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t have their Rolex watches laying out on top the counter connected with a little hokey wire to the countertop, in an understaffed store. Cell phone stores are just inviting snatch & grab bandits.

Be careful in your assumption. You can find numerous accounts of police shootings where the police officer will state he fired only two or three rounds, when in fact he actually shot more than that. He is a trained professional. Fear is an odd motivator.

Glad to hear that it looks like the kid is going to be okay. Getting shot is a horrific experience that will affect the entire family for the rest of their lives.

The police chief in Houston is anti Second Amendment. I’m sure they look for ways to prosecute anyone using a gun. I travel to Houston a good bit. I fear having to use my weapon to defend myself, that’s one reason I have TX law shield. I hope I never find out if it’s worth it.
