If the Republicans are going to be cool with just constantly re-writing or ignoring law, like BHO...how can anyone who believes in the rule of law or the Constitution vote for them?

Therein lies the problem, my friend. Like it or not, America is a two-party system. We're not voting for the best candidate, so much as the least evil candidate. :-(

And you can vote 3rd party if it makes you feel better, but it isn't going to make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things. In fact, the Dems WANT you to vote 3rd party. (As a social conservative, I mean).

In some ways I'm getting to the point where I want to hand the dems the keys to the car so they can crash it. Then we can take the keys back and rebuild. I know it's not that easy, but the Dems being socialists throwing bones to the masses and the Republicans being socialists throwing bones to capital isn't working.

The system is broken, never to be fixed at the ballot box. The only way it gets corrected is by total collapse or revolution.

I somewhat agree. The problem with this the crash part. It would be interesting to see what happens with the illegal immigration issue when there aren't jobs or opportunities here.

Oh I think it would be incredibly perilous for all involved. If people were forced to wake up I hope they would kick the bums in DC out and not turn against the illegal immigrants. I blame the politicians. Not poor people trying to get by. That isnt me being soft on immigration . No amnesty. If we let 15 million or more become "legal" then what happens when the next 15 million illegals come in?

Btw, I think Mexican Hippie is correct on GOP leadership hoping to gain the vote of newly legalized Mexicans, as well as those here legally. They want that vote to offset the Dems' black vote. George W., I believe, was trying to earn favor with the Mexican population in America. And Hippie is right, that's the way politics works. When your party loses consecutive presidential elections, they start looking for new voters to sway the future outcome. They cater. But it's a razor's edge they must walk... for what good are new voters if you lose a significant portion of your base voters?

    Fred B.
They may gain some Mexican votes but theyre going to lose a metric shit ton of conservative base votes. On the bright side, if the GOP does sell immigration I believe the rise of a viable third party will happen. There will be so many people so sick and tired of the establishment BS that the Tea Party might finally sheer off from the GOP.

Regardless of immigration this country is headed for collapse, itll just happen sooner with "immigration reform".

Agreed. People don't care though. Not enough people think "big picture" and worry more about what's on tv rather than their kids' futures.

How do they not see it as political suicide or do they view NOT dealing with it as a worse fate?

It's only political suicide if you think Boehner and the leadership actually care about the party. This is about the political class, not a party. The leadership knows this will kill their party, but they also know it'll permanently solidify the path to socialism and therefore increase the power of the political class even further. There are no longer two parties in DC. The Republicans put up only enough resistance to keep up an image. The only reason our 2nd A. wasn't relegated to a footnote in history last year was we had a D in the whitehouse. Guns are about the only issue that they seem to stand up to Dems over. They'll have no problem enacting gun grabs when they have power though. They know the R base will be good lil boys about it as long as its not an evil D taking them. They have no values, morals, or ethics. This country is fucked. Economy is doing fairly well here in Texas, I'd suggest busting your ass and stacking up assets because we're looking at the last gasps of the republic. We might not see a TEOTWAWKI or SHTF situation anytime soon, but thats only because it'll take a long time for a ship this big to sink.

If you really think there is still hope stop and really think about the coming generations. Almost 10% are on psych drugs before they even become teenagers and they are being raised by adults who voted in the people you see now.

As others have noted, I think the GOP believes that if they adopt "immigration reform" it will bring the Hispanic voters over to their side. Unfortunately, I don't see that being the case. The Democrats have already dubbed the GOP as The Racist Party and no amount of coddling, sucking up or compromise will change that. The libiturd media is on the Democrat Party's side and they'll spew whatever manure the Democrats tell them to.

The genie IS out of the bottle and has been for decades. There haven't been any politicians with enough balls to say "We need to enforce our current immigration laws." Instead, like Obastard has pulled, they ignore some or even all parts of our immigration laws, selectively enforcing (if you can remotely call what they're doing "enforcement") only those parts of the law that don't upset the Hispanic community.

And it doesn't help matters when you have buttwads like Jeb Bush spewing his "act of love" bullshit when referring to illegal aliens. Nor does it help when "Boner" disses his own party in the news. THAT asswipe needs to back off, jack off and regroup......

Not to mention that if they even considered calling a deportation program "Operation Wetback" as Eisenhower did in 1953, there would be HELL to pay.

I'm so tired on weak leadership on behalf of the GOP. I'm tired of them running RINO candidates as well. The problem is, the republican voters keep voting for these guys. At the end of the day, the fault lies with republican voters.

I went along in the last two elections with McCain & Romney. It will not ever happen again. I will go 3rd party or even Democrat.

Not quite true BC, The Dems have thrown more money at Business and Wall Street than the GOP ever has and they haven't even begun the insurance company bailouts that are surely coming next year as part of the taxpayer indemnification of Health Care insurance company losses. It's more than passing strange that the GOP are considered the darlings of capitalism when the Dems are throwing money at Qualitative Easing which keeps the NYSE and Dow-Jones indices up (I think capitalists benefit from that) and Green Energy companies who haved burned through record amounts of tax-payers money. Further, many of the federal contracts let recently are no-bid to friends and former employees of the White House (Obamacare website anyone?), which if done by a GOP administration would be bringing howls of protest from the Left.

I beleieve its more on increasing the tax and voter base and selling it to America as a good thing.

Disregarding immigration laws and not enforcing said laws all while trying to write new legislation to deal with this definately raises some questions.

Yes, and all part of the Soros Open Borders regardless of political party.

The most productive thing we as conservatives of social, family, fiscal, constitutional values (pick your subset) is to learn of the Creation and implementation of the Federal Reserve and how its monetary policy via the annual Bildeberger Meeting with the following steering committees change global policies. (Steering committees like: CFR, Trilateral Commission, New Fabian Society, Business Round Table. All well documented in the book "Tragedy and Hope" by Carol Quigley)

How does it affect us?, well very much on a daily basis. They create the financial implosion and buy up companies pennies on the dollar and tell them how to toe the globalist line.

It takes time to read and study versus watching the Kartrashians and Dancing with the Progs.

Back to point, GOP silence during the Dingy Reid, BLM, Bundy issue speaks volumes!!! Listen folks if these freaking gutless spineless POSes of GOP representatives lacked the stones to support a American Citizen yet are toe sucking to the socialist bred illegals that will always vote Dumocrat can we not tell we are being played for fools by the GOP?????

What the hell does it take to wake us up????? If WE the avid 2A supporter are this naive what does it say of the rest of the sheep if we are CHL holders and take on the role of the sheep dog??????

Every GOP rep. should be getting a BIG earful about their passivity!

FED monetary policy affects us on a daily basis. One should be able to cleanly conclude that Putin is correct in keeping his satellite nations out of the IMF. I will not post the link it can be found look for Obama and the FED
And it all ties in to keeping us the public arguing (and very successfully I may add) of silly crap like illegal immigration....(of all national ilk) It is a distractor of the bigger picture and we fall for it.

I agree we should put heat on all these political progs to enforce what is on the books and if they refuse then they have NO credibility for future votes and adulterate our nation into the abyss of lawlessness....as the Elitist have set the precedence of choosing what laws to enforce and to be fair, it was waaaaay before this loser came on the scene.......So I hope we do not take the bait and get into any pissing contest about this.....I plan to tell my GOP Rep. enforce what's on the books or your no different then the POTUS.....course I doubt he will take it as the intended insult anyways....lol...well gottah get ready for work you folks enjoy the day off.....

The majority of spanish-speaking immigrants (legal or not), only need to know one thing about politics in the US...the Democrats are the party of the poor and the Republicans are the party of the rich, white man.

Don't bother proving otherwise, they don't care. My grandparents, legal spanish-speaking immigrants, have believed this since they moved here in the 60's. They hate gay people, are devout catholics, and they believe in deporting illegals, but that doesn't matter because Clinton was a good man, blah, blah, blah...

I will say this though, the people of hispanic ancestry here in Texas are very different than the ones in California. How that translates to politics I don't know because I have only been in this state for a few months.

If the Republicans give the illegals what they want...it won't make a difference because the Democrats are still the party of the "poor".
