This is the Heckler and Koch (HK) 556 30 round polymer magazine. When it comes to polymer magazine, I've been a PMAG and Lancer AWM fan for many years. However, I am ever the optimist in addition to being a Collector of magazines. This mag appears and feels to be well built. I expect a lot from an HK polymer magazine.

I will be using this magazine for the next year to determine its reliability and the durability of the magazine.

We suck and they hate us.

But sign me up for one or two. I bet they cost $50 like the steel 416 mags and all their pistol mags.

Would like to have 1 just to collect.

www.TexasGunTrust.com HK polymer magazine review:
I was given the is magazine by an HK rep at shot show to demo and shoot this year.
I posted this video from the HK booth. Shot Show 2014 www.TexasGunTrust.com HK 30 Rd polymer magazine. - YouTube
I took the video to the range for the first time last week and ran around 90 rds through it in my Hodge Defense AU Mod-1 16" rifle. I ran 60 rounds of the now insanely expensive And banned wolf 55gr HP and 30 rounds of privi partisan 55gr fmj. It fed everything without a hitch.
Some observations.
1. It seats on a closed bolt with 30rds of ammunition without more than normal effort.
2. It seats on an open bolt as expected. No effort required.
3. The wolf 55gr fmj was tight when loading. I thought it would not feed due to the tight fit on insertion, but it fed without incident. I need to load so e 69, 75 & 77gr to see how it fits.
4. It dropped free without issue. I need to try this in my other lowers.
5. To Be Tested:
6. Water fountain: puking rounds on hard bolt open reload: No puking noted on several hard reload attempts
7. It drops free in several non-standard Billet lowers i.e. POF, TKS Engineering and other forged lowers

I'll be running additional rounds through this magazine. And updating the results
