In the prime tradition of industry shows, some announcements come early, mostly from companies trying to get out ahead and not get buried by everything else.

Up first, S&W is up to bat for the 6mm arc

Beretta has a lower cost (supposedly) tactical semi auto shotgun based off of the A300

Ria 5.0. looks kinda familiar, but im drawing a blank on the guns it looks similar to.

    Taurus has a compact TX22

While on the subject of taurus, rossi is back as well.

Browning has a good amount of new stuff

.30 super carry continues to dominate the market, and with Federal now making punch ammo for it, it's only a matter of time...

    That place east of Waco....
The Taurus TX22 Compact intrigues me. I've wanted Ruger to redesign the magazine on the SR22 to take more than 10 rounds (esp. since the LCPII also holds 10). Looks like Taurus beat them to the punch.

The RIA 5.0 kind of reminds me of the pre-1911 autos Browning made....the ones with the swinging links on the front and rear of the barrel. I want to see one disassembled at some point....

I was thinking more like that strike one pistol. I think its made by SAI now as the stryke or something like that.

Try as they might, magpul will never recapture the magic of shot '08

Coming from Magpul and ZEV in 2023 – the Folding Defensive Pistol-9 (FDP-9) & Folding Defensive Carbine-9 (FDC-9)

Magpul pinky promises that their collab with ZEV Technologies, the Folding Defensive Pistol-9 (FDP-9) & Folding Defensive Carbine-9 (FDC-9) is really coming in 2023.

30 super carry is still likely to not be around long term in my opinion. $1 per round for practice ammo is not going to do much to encourage practice and training.

Beretta has given the cheetah a facelift

    https://www.beretta.com/en-us/80x-cheetah/
Beretta 80X...$999 for the tri-color. $849 for all black...and the mrd plates are extra. Beretta USA guy was adamant that the pricing was "reasonable" due to the 80X being a "premium" offering. I like it but damn......I was thinking $699 tops and then BOOM! $999.

Guns are expensive, especially good ones, especially good metal ones.

I'm sure Beretta has done the math and figured out that there's only maybe 10 people who want a new cheetah thats been given the M9A3 treatment.
