Howdy everyone,
Just wanted to share I had a good experience with Frank at Austin Blades on Lamar street in north Austin.
It’s a funky little shop but full of lots of cool knives, swords, nunchucks and other dude stuff. They sharpen too. Frank is one of the brothers who runs the shop, the more talkative one, and is a funny and interesting guy. He helped me pick a proper OTF knife that I’m very happy with and showed me a ton of rare and prototype EDC knives from his personal collection.
They are a Cobratec (Made edit:assembled in Waxahachie) dealer and the new models are nice and the action feels better than my Microtech, not to mention it has standard torx screws instead of those proprietary triangle ones.
Please check them out if you are ever in the neighborhood.
