    Not interested in signs.

Looking for law that makes it illegal:

    1) Carry rifle in on-premises consumption place that is < 51%
    2) Carry rifle in off-premises consumption place.

    TIA

Sling an AR over your shoulder and walk into a bar. I’m sure someone will show you the law...

    LOL

I am trying to find a law the El Paso shooter violated by carrying the gun in, but I cannot, and it seems neither can anybody. Thus it was not a gun-free zone.

Once he started to use it in a menacingly manner, it became illegal.

I'm just trying to correlate the title of this thread to Walmart.

Folks are asking is it a gun free zone.

There were no 30.06 or 30.07 signs - so no vs that route.

46.02 says you cannot bring a handgun into any premises licensed or issued a permit by this state for the sale of alcoholic beverages. He did not do this.

46.03 says you cannot bring a firearm into any premises licensed or issued a permit by this state for the sale of alcoholic beverages that is 51%. He did not do this.

But so far no luck find a law that bans firearms (which would be include rifles) from a non 51% place.

Next time you go to walmart, look at the blue sign on the door that says it is a felony to bring an unlicensed firearm in. It has the code on the bottom IIRC.
The is no license fore long guns.

The code on those signs is TABC Code that requires the place to post them, says nothing about making it illegal to carry.

I could be wrong, but I believe it says "unlicensed handgun", I read that sign so many times and that's how I remember it.

I think I know where you going in that TGC 411 Subchapter H pertains to handguns and LTCs.

Where I am going is I can not find a law that makes it illegal to carry a rifle into a place sells alcohol for off-premise consumption, or even on premise consumption if < 51%. Is it bad google-fu on my part or does no such law exist, despite signs suggesting it does?
