The stock is custom out of walnut with a red type wood at the front with matching pummel on the pistol grip, white lines etch out the detail. Shaw barrel that’s heavy profiled. Has a front sight but, no rear.
One piece Leupold base with a cheap weaver on it. Has a match trigger. I may put a peep sight on it, it has factory screws on the side of the receiver. I guess that’s what they are for. Really well done.
Siamese Mauser was Japanese made, originally in 8x50R & later converted to 8x52R.
The action is on par with the Arisaka, which has a rep for being one of the strongest bolt actions made at that time.
The 45-70 conversions were very popular and safe.
