    Lol, perfect for what?

Not getting in the way, being ambi out of the box, non reciprocating, not stabbing you in the chest, and still being in a decent location

Its not an ak, use the bolt release like god and stoner intended

Haha, ok, I see your mind is already made and I’m sure there is no swaying your opinion.
I own regular and side charging AR’s, and for me, the side charger is a way better setup.
    P.S. they don’t reciprocate.
P.P.S it’s not in the way of anything
P.P.P.S. How’s that bolt release work for you on a malfunction drill?

Some do reciprocate, and i was also including other types of rifles, like SCARs

I've seen quite a few side chargers get knocked out of battery

And the bolt release works fine in malfunction drills

If you prefer side chargers, fine, but the standard AR charging handle is far better than you are giving it credit for.

I don't think anyone is saying a standard charging handle doesn't work as it should.

I know. The question is if a side chager is truly better than the AR's standard charging handle.

That a side charger isn't ambi is a pretty big plus for the standard CH.

I agree the reciprocating handle ARs with a knob on the side of the bolt are not generally a great setup.
The JP/Gibbz/NFA/etc non-reciprocating, however are superior.
The DDC handle has been around quite a while, I remember the first time I saw one in a gun shop was probably over 2 years ago.
It is a neat product that lets you have the experience of one of the non-recip uppers for a fraction of the price.

I want a top charger like the 1928 Thompson or Uzi but with a picatinney rail on top too. Let's see them pull that off.

Just buy a M+M M10X. With it's ambi side charger and beautiful destructiveness, it's side charging at it's finest.
