"Under German law, companies are prohibited from exporting firearms or other weapons to countries in conflict."

    "...in conflict"?

    Kinda' vague.

Is not the USA in conflict pretty much always???
They should not be sending weapons here.

I wonder what the exact wording is and how many attorney's will be interpreting precise intent and meaning.

Yeah but not on American soil. The law's talking about war zones, or countries that are pretty much like war zones.

They should not be sending weapons here.

Which is why Sig and H and K have opened manufacturing in the US.

Likely but OP did not like to exact verbiage, though it would be in German anyway.

    I'm guessing.

And if you think I'm gonna look through German legal texts and translate them, you're nuts. I paraphrased the stuff, and that oughta be good enough :P

Even then the $$$ still dont add up...if the total averages $3060 per pistol...they sell the pistol for $1k...then offer $2k in parts & service?
Seems fishey to me once you see the numbers.
Probably more like $300 for the gun and $2700 for parts & service. It's probably a no questions asked service contract and they expect them to abuse the hell out of the guns.
