Any pictures of older blued slides on sig P series? I sent my W.German P220 with rolled steel slide back to Sig to have it re-blued. Got it back earlier this month and it seemed a bit off but figured processes change after 30 years. Didn’t take good pictures of it before I sent it, so didn’t have anything to compare. Well last week I bought a Nitron P938 and today it hit me why it seemed off. Sig didn’t blue the slide they nitron coated it. I called and they confirmed it was nitron finished and it should have been blued. Now I’m on the fence cause I preferred blued guns to stainless or colored finishes, but the old rolled steel slides are prone to rust and nitron would hold up better. Need to see some old blued p series to make up my mind. Sig did say they would cover the cost to ship it back and blue it.

Is it a recreational / safe queen gun, or is it a carry / defensive gun? If it's intended for any serious use, bluing is a no-go, IMO, and I'd stick with Nitron. Some may be fine with bluing for a serious use gun, but IMO it's too maintenance intensive.
