Signs of spring.

What are you seeing that makes you think winter is over?

I'll start with those spider webs that float on a breeze and hang up on whatever.
Done wiped several off my face today.

multiple yards(weeds) being mowed today.

Those little purple flowers that create a purple rug in fields.

I moved a big snapping turtle across the road yesterday. Had to be 40lbs of him. Just sitting there daring someone to run him over.

I am sure he won’t be the last one, lol.

Since moving to East Texas I have learned that the enjoyment of Spring here is tempered by the next three months that I know will be filled with heavy thunderstorms, biblical rain and the ever present threat of tornadoes.

Still, today I am putting the propane garage heater up in the attic and giving the lawn tractor a tune up and oil change

Brings out the little critters that feed the big critters.
