Seen some good press on this can.

I was initially looking at the Specwar, but this one has piqued my attention.

11.3 ounces with thread adapters for several thread pitches...plus another adapter on the books that will fit the Saker mounts (I believe).

Built in brake at the end of the can to further reduce recoil on hard hitting calibers.

    and....sub $600

    Whats not to like???

You mean the Silencerco Harvester right? Looks like a really good suppressor, but be advised that the tube is made of aluminum and not as robust as the Specwar or Saker, but the weight of the Harvester and sound suppression looks great for the precision shooter or hunter.

I have one in NFA jail and I'm waiting for the Saker to hit the dealer. The Harvester will live on my bolt gun and the Saker will be for the SBR and other AR's.

Silencerco was really clear that the Harvester is for 16" or longer "normal calibers" and 24" or longer magnums ... no SBR's, not even the 300BO.

Now, the sbr thing might be a deal breaker. I've got a 300BO and a 5.56 sbr planned.

Specwar 556 is $550 at Silencer Shop. Doesn't get much/any cheaper than that for a quality rifle suppressor.

    Looking at the 7.62
Doesn't appear to be in stock right now.

Either the Specwar or the Saker
Saker is smaller and lighter by 4oz

Got the money saved up finally...just need to get one ordered.

Already own a AAC TiRant 9, which sounds good with 300BO subs

I've heard that the Saker 762 has just been shipped to distributors by Silencerco in the past few days ... people on dealer's waitlists should be hearing pretty soon that it's OK to order.

    Ok...someone help me out.
I'm trying to register an account on the Silencer Shop so I can get on the waiting list.

I can get to a login screen, but not a registration page.

If you've already got the 300BLK covered with your Osprey 9, why not go with the 556 version for the SBR? When I'd ordered the Specwar 556 I wasn't sure that I hadn't made a mistake until I checked out how long and heavy the 762 version was. As it is, the 556 version is a heavy can that significantly balances my 11.5" AR towards the muzzle end. Since I can't use a Costa hyperextended grip due to the short length of the hand guard and exposed gas block, I'm still trying to find a comfortable hold and stance that doesn't leave me fatigued when shooting offhand with the can mounted.

I've got more 30 cal. variants than 223.

    30-06
    280 Ackley
    22-250
    308

The 223 build in on the horizon, but my immediate need is 30 Cal.

But the weight thing makes sense. So maybe a 223 Saker is in the works for later :D

I just called them and gave them my phone and email address.

Done. Sent em an email. On the waiting list :D

I want to get this done before June. As I understand...the new rule about Trusts goes into effect at that time.
I'm fairly sold on the Saker 7.62 after doing more research. I really like the mounting system. Hardest part right now is waiting for them to get em in stock. Been saving a while and now the $ is starting to burn a hole in my pocket ;) Always been that way.

Saw a neat video that was done where they took a 5.56 end cap and put it on the 7.62 can and shot it from a 223. Added another 2 or 3 db reduction.
