Before I'd knuckle under to that twit, I'd set up some vintage ABBA tapes for half time enjoyment! Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out!

I know you said previously that you don’t believe half of what you post, which makes you a troll.

Without that admission, I’d be amazed at your post quoted above. Thanks for letting us know that you’re just trolling.

    No.
    I said I don't believe 2/3 of what I say.
Perhaps my cynicism is too subtle.

But I do not ever type anything that I would not say, cornea to cornea, to a friend over coffee or a single malt..

I'm never wishing to be considered a troll.
To do so would be disingenuous.

Her top 5 songs have 2,285,000,000 listens on Spotify.

    That's 2.3 billion with a "B"!
That approximates every living American having listen to a song of hers seven times.

That makes her a big draw for Super Bowl viewers.
As such, she wields enormous financial power, like it or not.
And, for me, more attractive than last year's Adam Levine Super Bowl performance, eh?

She's talented, though I'm no fan.

    Capitalism at work.

I have never once used spotify. I don't buy music in any form. I don't use iTunes for music. It's just not that important to me. I couldn't care less what her issues are.

Oh, and screw the Cowboys--who the hell has the temerity to call themselves "America's Team"?

EDIT: I listened to the lady's rendition of "Oh Holy Night" and must say that I was not impressed. I gave it a shot, but I've heard better in church. My opinion is worth not even the two cents you didn't pay for it.

I host a SB party most years.

    Two discreet groups:
    1.
    Football watchers.
    2.
    Commercial watchers.

The two groups alternately reverse seating positions at the onset of each bank of commercials.

I don't give a flip about the game.

The two groups intermingle for the halftime show.
Pssst--this isn't about the SB. It's about the Thanksgiving Day Cowboys game. Completely unimportant.

I don't use sports as entertainment anymore. So, I really don't care about how she or any other 'celebrity' feels about anything. And, the last halftime show I saw was some washed up jocks trying to justify their predictions from the pre-game show.

I think it's easier to judge the quality of a voice when the song is simple and familiar.

I didn’t care for it. Maybe the accent...didn’t move me.

I have heard talent before that disappointed me. When the meat suit lady sang the sound of music. I couldn’t believe that (IMO) she had wasted such amazing talent singing crappy pop music where relevance was maintained via shock culture. Never seen her politics but my assumption is that I’d disagree.

Avri Lavign (sp) also has an amazing voice, but I have no interest in the style of music she chose.

Yet he brings it up in a completely unrelated thread, lol.

I think my psychiatric behavior would best be characterized as "loose associations"

    Ergo......
    Loose Associations:
"A manifestation of a severe thought disorder whereby the patient's responses do not relate to the interviewer's questions or one paragraph, sentence, or phrase is not logically connected to those that occur before or after."

    :)

I'm happy to fill a psychobabble niche.
A great Alan Parsons Project classic I'd forgotten about. Enjoy.

Sitting around a nice camp fire with a MacBook Pro and a single malt snifter.
    Life is good.

    Happy Friday all.

You might want to look for some of her early work before she hit it big. Back when she was very young and it was just her and a piano in the back of a bar she did some wonderful work that was completely different from the pop extravaganzas that would later become her trademark.
