I bought a CCOP single point mount for my AR15 and when I was cleaning the rifle today I was unable to remount it to the rifle... well turns out the screw stripped out and it's a paperweight now.. Well you get what you pay for it was 31 dollars and it did hold my vortex through 6 range trips... Any recommendations?

Pouring salt at the moment. Your photo cut off the top of the mount but I am guessing it is a 2 ring high scope mount for what size tube? Scope name and model might be helpfull? As far as brands go, I like Bobro and ADM for AR-type mounts,
Warne and Badger for precision rifle rings, but there are many other choices.

Take it to the hardware store and get a longer bolt to run through it.

You may want to drill out the threaded part so you can fit a full size bolt in it.

Go to the hardware store and buy a replacement stud for it. If you can't find one, try an actual bolt store. Better grab replacement nuts also.

I like the PEPR mount for a good value for the dollar. I have a GG&G that is very nice but more expensive too.

Nikon always makes decent and affordable products too.

But like I stated earlier, running a bolt through it will fix it.

Shouldn't cost more than a few dollars to fix... I've found the machining quality of those chinesium mounts to be pretty good in recent years, but the fasteners on them are still soft as cheese. Buy a couple small grade8 bolts to replace them and have fun.

BTW, why did you take your scope off to clean the gun?

I took it off because I am clumsy and I didn't want to break it. Anyway I did both.. I got some new bolts and bought a cheap backup... Thank you for the suggestions.. the PEPR is definitely on my list that I will be getting very soon.
