I actually read that same Reader Digest story as a kid, so that's what drew me to the show. Most of what I record I ff thru too. Best thing when you can't sleep @ night.I am hooked on Oak island but I figure the moment they find anything worthwhile the camera will go black I dvr are it so I can ff through all the recaps so it only takes about 20 minutes to watch.
Same as highway to Hell on the weather channel
Oh wow, so are you saying you don't think anything significant will ever be discovered on Oak Island in the way of treasure or something like that ? I do think even the historical findings are interesting but they drag it out soooooo… slowEvery time one of these shows is on you automatically know nothing was discovered.

OK sorry.I was referring to youngguns post. Supernatural and aliens.
Sometimes a show will discover things. A show I liked was expedition unknown hosted by josh gates. It was nice to see him leave the show destination truth, stop hunting for monsters and actually search for something probably real.
I believe Hitler escaped to South America. More evidence keeps surfacing.OK sorry.
I started to watch the show on lost Civil War gold supposedly dumped in one of the Great Lakes, but it moved so slow that I completely lost interest in it. Wonder if they ever found that gold. Or did they ever find Hitler in Argentina ? Gave up on that one too.
Yea, I kept watching that evidence for a long, long time but finally gave up. I don't really believe he did, but it made some interesting watching. But definitely a bunch of the scum Nazis from Germany did "escape" or a least moved to Argentina. We know that because I believe several of them were captured down there and returned for trial (and hanged). I'm pretty sure I believe Hitler put a bullet through his head in his bunker.I believe Hitler escaped to South America. More evidence keeps surfacing.
These shows would be better as a documentries once they found what they are looking for. The money that they get for these episodes is huge & helps fund the search. Oak Island cost are crazy when you look at the equipment they bring in. I often wonder if everyone is in on a % too!OK sorry.

Yes, that is kind of what I figured too. According to things I have read, the major "cast members" get paid for each episode and residuals. Marty Lagina net worth over $100 million and Rick Lagina over $2 million (he's a retired postal worker). These shows would be better as a documentries once they found what they are looking for. I think Marty & Craig were in business that utilized the heavy equipment & much of the technology they use.Yes, that is kind of what I figured too. I wonder if the people who bring in the big equipment do so because they get some exposure on the show.

I’d trust it about as much as I trust MSNBC.
Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Paragraph two in the 'About The Series' section (at that link) makes it sound just like another of those bogus UFO, Samsquamch or ghost hunter series - more pure unmitigated BS.https://www.history.com/shows/the-secret-of-skinwalker-ranch
Anyone else watch this? Seems like some pretty strange activities going on there.
I was wondering the same thing. Did a quick google and came up with this:What is Pepperidge Farms quote about? Seen it often here lately.
I think I must have missed something.

It's just entertainment. People should believe what they see with their own eyes and be skeptical of everything else, IMHO.Paragraph two in the 'About The Series' section (at that link) makes it sound just like another of those bogus UFO, Samsquamch or ghost hunter series - more pure unmitigated BS.
