I'm thinking about getting another crate from Classic Firearms. I bought 2 crates of Mosin Nagants back years ago during the 'great mosin import frenzy'. I sold all but a half a dozen but this time Classic is offering Chinese SKS loaded 20 in one of the old Mosin Nagant crates with accessories.

I bought a few SKS type 56 in the $200+ range but they are not getting cheaper (like the mosins did not get cheaper)

I am thinking about getting a crate and then just set it on a shelf in the shop for a few years to see if the prices go crazy in the future with a Chinese trade war or something?

I wish I kept an entire crate of mosins still in cosmoline sitting on a shelf in the shop.

Me too. I WAS smart enough to get the Saiga, and some Romanians. Didnt have the foresight on the SKS's and I wasnt even into guns then.

I bought crates of Mosins and it cost about $300 each to ship to Texas (400 lb crate). I had to sign up as residential even though I have pallet forks on my tractor and 'plucked' the crate off the back of the 18 wheel tractor/trailer.

They still sent a 'drop-gate' truck.

The crates of SKS are $6200 and I would guess $300ish shipping.
$325 each when all is said-and-done.
