Been trying to take this Silver Eagle apart for almost 2 weeks. Right now, I'm on day 3 of trying to separate the mag tube from the r eciever. I've heard of guns that were lost in tragic boating accidents, just never thought I'd own a saltwater recovery!

I've hit that SOB 5 times with WD-40 pro penetrating oil, and 4 times with a propane torch.

Try some Sea Foam DEEP CREEP penetrating lubricant.

Got to be threaded. It took 3 days ,a propane torch, vice grips and pliers to get the end of the mag tube unscrewed.
There ,I was able to put the heat to the tube,( causing it to expand), and break the end loose.

Unfortunately, the tube is threaded into the reciever, and I'm not taking a torch to it. Heck, the bottom half is flat black paint.

I knew exactly what I was typing. I have a Silver Eagle magnum auto shotgun. These are imported (from Turkey, IIRC) by TRI Imports here in Ft. Worth. I bought it used from Cabelas.

While I realize that's humor, I was just thinking how flammable WD40 is, and then adding in the propane torch.

It's not WD-40. It's WD-40 PROFESSIONAL penetrating oil. WD-40 is useless as a penetrating oil. WD PRO is superior to PB Blaster IMHO.

Those are like my Charles Daly semi auto shotgun. Make in Turkey also. By the same outfit I believe.

Funny, I bought a Charles Daly Superior in the 70's for $400. Lost it recently in a tragic pawning accident....

Even funnier -- I got my charles daly field at a pawn shop for $100. Had to make a new firing pin for it, but it works great now.
