As if the auctions and other issues were not enough, I got a call the other day from a guy in Midland that runs raffles for ammunition. I had listed some ammo in July/August and he bought 2k of .223 and 10 boxes of .40 S&W plus paying me $40 to deliver in Midland. In the course of the transaction, he told me what he would do with the ammunition, that is, raffle it off. Since I had already made the deal, I sold it to him.
Later, when I listed some 9mm, he contacted me but I told him I would not sell ammunition for raffles and refused to sell to him. I have been contacted by a few others - people that run raffles - since and have refused them as well. I knew they ran raffles because they offered chances to win ammo in a couple of groups on MeWe.
I do not have anything against raffles for "not for profit" causes, however, I will not support them for profit especially with a product shortage.
