    Living in NC, but from Texas
    In past I have only used pancake holsters. The makers I am looking at have quick release snap loops for the belts. Do these work as well as the pancake? If i had to remove my ccw to enter a place this would be handy.

    IMO, whatever blows your skirt up (works best for you) but get used to it. Practice wearing it and drawing from it until you're comfortable with it. -or ditch it & go back to pancake. FWIW, I have no problem wearing an empty holster in your scenario.
