    A little bit of all of the above. Mostly resourcefulness with public data sources. Publicdata.com is pretty useful, but it requires a subscription.

    Comes extremely useful when turning in dirtbags. Setting your phone to the highest Meg for photos can grab plates fairly easy. $20 at Wally will buy you 32GB card to further expand your picture taking prowess.

    Yep. It's very easy with schlage or kwikset locks, and gets marginally harder from there. But yeah, test me out. Get an old key (not your current house key, please, I don't want to go posting the code to get into your house!) with numbers on it. you know how they normally have the five numerals on one side? Cover that, or put the other side up (so I can't see the number) take a pic, post it, and I can tell you pretty close to what those numerals are.
