    Chinese officials 'set 1,000 cats loose in forest'


    "Beijing (AFP) - Animal activists are combing a forest in eastern China for more than 1,000 kittens rescued from a meat supplier only to be let loose by local authorities, an organiser said Monday."

    I've always found it strange that people separate one animal from another when it comes to food, just like it's now illegal to slaughter horses in the US only because people have an emotional attachment to a few or see people riding them.

    I understand not wanting to eat your own pets, but what makes a horse (or cat) different from a cow.

    That is the only reason that we eat cow. They are slow. Have you ever heard of a cheeta burger?
