I doubt its over, just a political pause. Wont be over till iran is dealt with. I dont know if ammo will go down, with the 2012 elections coming might get worse before it gets better.

It was really just wishful thinking, but I suppose your right with Iran possibly jumping off and not to mention the tensions between the U.S. and n. Korea, china, and possibly Russia. Dang who has the fed not pissed off.

The war is not over and I doubt that ammo prices will go down ever again, too much greed in this world for that to happen. With what is going on in Mexico, I would say it wont be long before we are forced into getting involved down there....$0.02

All prices went up at the walmart near here yesterday morning, some as much as $2 a box. No idea why.

From time to time over the last five months, I've seen GI surplus 62 grain Green Tip 5.56 packed in ammo cans at Academy, Cabela's, and even one Wal-Mart. IIRC, the cans contained about 420 rounds, loaded on ten-round stripper clips. Prices ran anywhere from $140 to $160.

The wars are not over: Peace is a temporary state of no war.

    Be well.

It's not surplus. It's either a rejected lot or they made too much.
