I have searched all over the internet, and talked to as many people as I can without having to pay a retainer. And I have come to the conclusion that a person with a deferred felony (w/ the exception of a few charges) may purchase a firearm. Please correct me if I am wrong. there are many threads on a few diffrent forums about this matter. I just wanna know has anyone with this issue tried to purchase. they will let you know on the spot. and you have a leg to stand on if they try to give you any bullshit over it being that there is no explanation OR INTERPRETATION of this SHADY area of the law. I would just like to hear from some people that have first had experience with this matter, or PERSONALLY know someone who has. TIA!

If you have completed your period of deferred, the guilty plea with witdrawn and the case dismissed.

Therefore, there was never a conviction.
