I wonder what Paine would have to say to us today.
Thomas Paine would have many problems with the government we have today, as would most of the Founding Fathers.

Many of us feel the same and believe that is inevitable.

As I say, “The South has risen again; this time it is called TEXAS!”

Seriously, the Dakota’s, Idaho, Western WA, maybe Ohio, etc. would go, too.

Neither side has the means, nor the will, to have another “civil war”.

I agree with most of what you said and although I think it's a LONG shot, I am a member of the TNM, (Texas Nationalist Movement), secession organization. However, I DO think that the Feds absolutely have the WILL and the MEANS for another civil war. I think they have been probing for years now to get the rebels to react with force because they are chomping at the bits to unleash a large scale military pummeling of the liberty minded citizenry and display it for all to see as a warning to anyone else who would attempt it. I am VERY supportive of honest and ethical law enforcement and military who truly do serve the public and not Big Brother. But, while most members of these forces tend to be individually conservative, I don't believe for a minute that the majority of them would disobey orders to attack, imprison, and kill fellow citizens. When it comes down to losing their careers, benefits, and ability to feed and house their own families in a time when most others would be unemployed and/or hungry, they will turn on their fellow citizens. They've already proven that in many "Beta testing" scenarios where police and military were called on to violate our constitutional liberties and they overwhelmingly complied. It's a nasty dilemma to be placed in as a soldier or cop.

The dems hate the notion of "Greater Idaho" because it would take away a congressional seat from Oregon and give it to Idaho, meaning a 90+ percent chance that seat flips to being republican held, because Oregon's gerrymandering has been done so that pretty much every federal seat is now held by lefties. Seriously its stupid if you look at the district maps.

If "Greater Idaho" became a thing, I could invision maybe returning to that region some day. Central Oregon is breathtakingly beautiful in the same way the Texas desert or high plains are. Eastern Oregon likewise. They need liberated from socialist oppression from Portland and Salem.

Secession is an interesting subject and I would probably be on board if a feasible game plan was in place.
In reality, I don't see it ever happening and if it did it has the high probability of being a real chit show, but probably a better chit show than what we have now with Brandon.

As I said, I will support secession with a workable plan plus the promise to deport Beto on day one!

Can’t say it’s a good idea but it’s time to study options.
