I spent about half my 9th grade (1972) at a high school in Lincoln, NE. During that time they had the whole school go to the auditorium, something about a Russian that was giving a lecture. One of the first things we watched was a indoctrination film that the Russian children were subject to. During that film there were many boos, myself included, that rang out. After the film the man, whom we thought was Russian started talking about the benefits of socialism. At one point it seemed we were about to rush the stage for our anger was getting very pronounced. That was when it was revealed to us that he was an actor, and that this was what was going on in Russia at that time. It also went on to show how America needed to stay vigilant, for if we let our guard down, it could happen here.

Now I know I have been angry throughout periods in my life, but I can't remember a time that I felt that much anger. Children used to be raised to understand the evil in this world, so that they could remain vigilant for it as they grew. Now days children are shielded from the evils or taught that they should look for the good in evil.

The devil's greatest trick was convincing the world he didn't exist.

Socialism is an easy sell because it's based upon the key words of "Easy, Good, and FREE", whatever you want is gonna be easy, free and good, 3 words that don't travel together very often. To that they say its easy, Apple is worth a Trillion, let's tax them and take half of that, Zuckerman is worth $120Billion, he doesn't need all that so we take the rich more and we can get $60 Billion from him. To the socialist the answer is simple and easy, just tax more not a problem. Then the little NY Socialists said yesterday that if we have universal healthcare we will save money on funerals because less people will die and they will pay for the medical! Having said that what we know that socialism can be found around the globe and in spite of massive failures it keeps raising its ugly head and now its done it in the US, which I NEVER thought was possible. It's coming and going to land squarely in your laps (note I said YOUR laps). My bet is socialism will begin making its appearance in the next Dem to sit in the Oval office and from there my guess is 2 more Dem elections concurrently and it will be reality. In time I would about 20 years from now.

My logic here is Silicon Valley which is about as far left as you can get. In my 25 years in the IT world I say little left wing thinking, but those of us there are now mostly gone, I retired when I sold my company in 2001 and have never looked back. Zuckerman woth about $120B is far left and certainly has no issue with Socialism as he is one of the biggest proponents of UBI, Universal Basic Income where you are paid not to work. Zman is not smart enough know we have UBI now and have had it for long time, its called Welfare and we see how that has worked out for us.

Compare the Top 5 % of yesterday with the Top 5% of today: Yesterday's 5%ers came from the oil fields and manufacturing factories, lumber, land and these hard me knew hard work and high risk. Today its electrons and clean hands, AC heated offices, low risk extremely high rewards.

In all Socialist modern Socialist govt we find the same thing a union of the extreme wealthy capitalists linked to the top level of the govt. Our nearest example is Mexico, where about 10% of the population control 90% of the wealth of the country. You have poor Mexicans and wealthy and few in between. Socialism does not like middle class and under Obama our middle class was decimated. He knew well what he was doing!

All this brings up an interesting question: Can the left take over and implement a Socialist form of govt and accomplish it WITHOUT massive gun control. I don't know of any Socialist movement that was accomplished without a lot of people dying in the process.

This is a copy of the Democrat/progressive agenda that explains/outlines their goals. It was taken from a web page for recruitment. You bring up a legit point, its rare that it occurs without taking the guns from citizens hands. But the US is different, our Constitution recognizes that we have a GOD given right to keep and bear arms.

That said 2 things come into play:

1) The approval of the Trump nominee to SCOTUS, the Dems are not supporting and I think the sole reason is that is he pro gun. 4 of the current sitting Justices are NOT pro gun and in fact see the 2nd in a whole different light. Justice Anthony Scalia IMO was murdered due to his pro gun, hunting stance!

2) Frog in a pot of cold water sitting on the stove: Frog thinks the water feels good till it don't. In other words you implement slowly and the easy parts first all the while saying it does not feel so bad does it and its only going to get better.

November should be interesting. The key like the last election is to vote. Let's hope those who favor socialism do not come out in droves. The media continues to hammer away at DT and citizens. Social media continues to silence opposing thought. State and local politicians continue to erode rights. Contrary to popular belief, violence is the answer. Look how well the left has used it. Again, my hope is not here and I have no kids. The time to worry about the next generation was about 2 generations ago.

First off I have very little regard for polls, the percentage only comes from those who care to be a part of it, so it may not be an actual percentage of all Americans, as evident from the 2016 election. Second, if socialism does become the popular politics you can be sure they will come for the guns.

How many of us sat back and thought Political Correctness and it's proponents were just being stupid and a nuisance. We let them make there speech about us being incorrect and we need to do/act this way and thought they were dumb. We talked about them being silly and stupid. All the while our young were being indoctrinated into the idealism of Marxism. They were fed propaganda everyday and we paid no attention. The radicals we grew up with became professors and the rhetoric continued. We allowed the 'make English the language of America' movement slip away from us and then allowed civics and history to be removed and replaced with Liberal studies in our schools. The children were being indoctrinated and we didn't pay attention. We bought the narrative that they all had to have a college education. We didn't pay attention to how much it cost and what was being taught. They now had our kids where they wanted them, away from their parents and gullible to the propaganda. Now we end up with the youth of America buying into social Marxism. Goes right along with the everyone gets a participation trophy.
