    Out here by the lake!
    I cannot make out the code date even when blowing up the photo. Same deal with the address side of the magazine well.

    I could be wrong but I think the gun is not early enough to have been bought shortly after the war in Vietnam. The early guns were H&K41 and marked Santa Fe for Golden State Arms.
