The guy has been a member of texasguntrader for 10 years too. Of course hearing protection (I mean solvent traps) shouldn't be regulated.

I duno what the stink is about them.

Its the same as saying an unfinished 80% receiver is a finished gun.

If you go down that route then any block aluminum or even a stack of steel bolted together is a finished fire arm.

This should be tossed right in there with a BOS

More self regulations from gun owners onto themselves.

Until we tell the government to regulate them they should not be a problem You do know that the government in our country is supposed to do our will not command us to do there will.

There was a time when the GOA had this issue on the “front burner” and I thought they were making some headway with Congress in getting the law changed. Progress was being made, pushing the hearing safety aspect - but then suddenly they went silent on the issue.

Seems like they may have started making noise about removing MGs from the NFA at the same time as removing silencers. And that was obviously a ‘bridge too far’ for most members of Congress. Still gotta pay-to-play with a $200 tax stamp!

As I recall, Texas had a state law prohibiting their possession up until a few years ago (even if you had paid the federal tax stamp). The state legislature finally fixed that problem several sessions ago.

When I was a kid, we use to take bottles and fill them with foam and different things to out on our bb guns and stuff. I dont remember how well they worked. We just wanted to be like the guys in the action movies of the 80s and 90s. I didnt even know what the atf or anything was at that time. If the atf is reading this, pm me for my address and phone number of you want to talk about my childhood crimes.

Guy at the last few gun shows was selling these kits for $200 or so. They looked like good quality and designed for you to build a legal suppressor at home.

I doubt these $50 kits would be worth the price of a stamp.
