Sig makes good guns, I own a couple, but $2k?!?! I'm sure the folks at Sig can give all kinds of justification for the price, but if I were going to spend two grand there are a number of other pistols I would be considering ahead of a Sig.

I'm kind of a Utilitarian type of person. It really needs to be above and beyond for me to spend that kind of money, when the less expensive alternatives do the same job.

    Not my thing, but:

"Each Mastershop pistol is hand-built to order by the highly skilled Master Gunsmiths at SIG SAUER in Eckernforde, Germany."

    Mastershop Series

I think the standard models from Ed Brown, or Wilson Combat will cost you more.

Why does anyone pay $2k+ for a custom 1911? Hand built by someone that knows what they're doing. Refined and customized for performance. Usually with some sort of enhancements or adjustments to fit the end user. In this case, that version of the X5 has I believe a fully adjustable trigger for pre travel, over travel, and I might be wrong but I thought something else is adjustable as well.

I've shot it before. It's really something else. Then again, so was my buddy's Nighthawk Custom. To each their own. I like my MC Operator.

As long as people will pay that price, they'll keep the price where it is. As soon as sales drop off. the price will, too.

Sorry, the pistol isn't for me.

Some people think they can buy their way to the top of competition.
